Hello. Posting because i'm due for a front brake change, I've put it off as long as I can. From what I've been told by multiple people drilled and slotted rotors are the way to go.. Saying that which routes have you guys went? Looking for total cost, etc. FYI I don't have the time to do this myself so I'll be getting this done. Any links, pictures are appreciated.

Can't speak to slotted rotors etc, but I can tell you I have an 02 double cab and I did the tundra brake upgrade (OEM rotors and pads, and then calipers from NAPA) and it is a night and day difference. I am no wrencher, and it was actually pretty easy. Worth consideration..I know you said you don't have the time but it is only a few hours.

Thinking about that option as well. What OEM year did you get?

You'll need to install brake lines with a larger opening banjo bolt as well, such as the ones from Wheeler's. Definitely worth it either way over the stock rubber lines.

Drilled and slotted are really for competition use. I think most people get them because they think they look cool. Nothing wrong with plain rotors. They work just fine. Spend the savings on good pads.

OEM rotors are not a must. They are better quality but aftermarket works just fine. You can also drill the banjo bolt out a little and use original lines. But the wheelers is a good upgrade.
When you buy the 13wl calipers they'll charge you a core charge. I slip my original Tacoma calipers in the boxes. Returned them no question asked and I didn't elaborate on the switch.
