I don't believe so(could be wrong have a manual), what you are describing is the combination of MTS and Crawl Control. As far as I'm aware MTS still requires you to apply the throttle for movement, maybe someone with a automatic can confirm. MTS adjust how much the individual wheels will be allowed to slip before braking is applied to transfer power to the other wheel(driver to passenger).

no throttle required with the AT's. you literally take your foot off the pedal and don't touch it at all.

    MTS ≠ Crawl Control

ETA - all you MT guys who don't know what you are talking about, should stay out of this thread.

Notice how there are TWO buttons...MTS and Crawl Control....two totally different things.

You're correct, but I lumped it into the same category to keep it simple.

Mts sets the amount of wheel slip allowed, CC is speed.

2 parts to the same overall system that just allow the user to control a little bit of the nanny aids.

that's what i was doing, just considering MTS & CC the same for making the point. we're not comparing MTS & CC. the question was about the throttle.

The OP's question was the difference between ATRAC and MTS.

    Thanks guys, appreciate the responses.

So MTS and ATRAC are basically the same thing but MTS let's you adjust how much wheel slippage is allowed before braking forces are applied. ATRAC does not let you adjust the amount of slippage. Got it.
