I'm sure there was a thread or threads about this, but I cannot figure out how to not get a million replies of worthless crap in the search function, so here goes...

I have a set of rims I got that I did not measure the backspacing on, my 285/75-16s rub plenty, and I've chopped a lot of body/cab mount/etc off to try to avoid it, so I think I may have gotten too little backspacing. Is there a generally accepted best size of rim to maximize size and minimize rubbing? I swear I had a thread bookmarked with the discussion, but I guess not...

I have Coilovers I plan to crank up a little more, and leafs I plan to bump up with an AAL or dakar pack too, but that will not change the fact that at full stuff/lock, I'm rubbing, front and rear.

Good to know, because it seems like most every rim I saw on Tire Rack was 4.5" BS
