How did the plow perform? I bought the same plow this summer. Also what make is the front hitch? I have a Curts front hitch but it looks very obvious mounted up. Yours looks more hidden.

I got my hitch from Agricover. Also a Curt. Snowsport HD is the plow maker and I couldn't find their plow specific hitch that I used to have on my F1shitty, so I took a chance on this one. Agricover's site guides you based on your vehicle selection. I think it was just called the "Tacoma 16-On" when it came up. Way nicer than the old Snowsport mount. Very happy with it so far and it ticks all the boxes as far as minimal ground clearance etc.

Plow performance...this will depend entirely on snow conditions and your approach. I learned as I went. This will be my third season with it. In my 200 yard single lane driveway I have to take bites so to speak when there's 4 inches or more down, but it really depends on how wet the snow is. I drive to the very end and push out the last 20 yards or so. Then back it up further, taking another 20 yard bite. I work my way backwards until the bulk is gone at which point I can do full length clean up passes.

The plow is not going to scrape right to the ground which I like. You end up de-gravelling your driveway less that way. You also can plow right over your grass without much worry. I do believe there's a strap you can get to keep the plow from lifting under load which gives you a cleaner scrape though.

There have been snowstorms where the plow became useless but I live fairly north in eastern Canada. When we get over a foot of wet snow it gets a lot more difficult. If we get mostly ice pellets you can fuggetaboutit. Stuff is like sand.

Thanks for the info. I sure hope it can keep up to the snow amounts we get here in North Western Ontario. I bought this plow to replace a 20 year old Snowbear plow. I have the curt hitch installed on my '12 Tacoma and will be moving it to my '18 Tacoma when it arrives at the dealer in mid Dec. Thanks for the tip on the strap to keep the plow down.

Oh right on. Yeah I think that's the same hitch. The strap thing can be had at Canadian Tire for 30'ish bucks iirc. Having never plowed before a few years ago it probably took me longer to get the most out of this particular plow than it will take you, but I think it was worth the money. It's holding up great and I put it through the wringer. My alternative is snowblowing for 3 to 6 hours o_O.

tinted windows; new wheels and tires; bilstien 5100s front and rear; camburg UCAs; OME 2888s
If you mess up and want to take them off the easiest way I found was spray a lil WD-40 on them or on a paper towel and it wipes off smooth as butter

Got my wheels and tires mounted today. Went with Falken Wildpeaks AT3W in 265/75/16. Wanted to go 285/75/16 but didn't want to risk having to cut up a brand new truck. They look way bigger in person. Might have to do extended length shocks in the rear now.

    Method NV 16x8 0mm/4.5" BS
Bilstein 5100s up front/MaxTrac 1.5" blocks in the rear

Do you have a lift on that, if not, are you getting any rubbing?

Finally got around to taking a photo.
2017 Limited DCSB bought in June. Added mud flaps today, have previously debadged, swapped out wheels and tires, with TRD Rims and KO2s, added wind deflectors and paint protective film.

To do list (in no particular order):
    - TRD Pro Grill
    - Bilstein 5100s (missed it that the Limited had such disappointing shocks before I purchased it)
    - BHLM
    - De-chrome fog lights and mirrors.
