I'm the same kind of friend when someone asks me "Should I have another drink?", "Should I go home with this person?", or "Should I do this stupid/crazy thing?". Answer is always yes.

I'll take care of them/the fallout, but I always encourage shenanigans.

 

I used to do that, but at this point I'm generally friends with their wives/husbands too, so I have to actually consider the question first.

Since RadioShack is more or less gone, where's a good place to buy wire? Lowes has some, but I didn't see anything below 16ga.

 

Most auto parts stores sell it but it's pricey there. I usually order mine from Amazon or Ebay

 

As an example, there's 4 100 foot rolls of 14ga on ebay right now for $30 with free shipping. 6 Rolls for $40.

If you're keeping the wire inside the passenger compartment, that THHN stuff they sell at Home Depot would work fine. But if it's exposed to the elements or heat from the engine/exhaust (like in the engine compartment) you'll want to stick with automotive grade. Has a better sheath on it.
