    Hello,
I was hoping someone could help me trouble shoot problems with aftermarket aux inputs for my 2007 Toyota Tacoma.
I ordered the GROM brand and installation was easy but it had a lot of static. If I held the plug in a certain position on the back of the stereo it would become clear but it wouldn't stay in position well enough for me to keep it.
I ordered the GTA kit next and as soon as I turned it on it makes a horrible whining noise and when I play music it is not clear either. I cannot make it become clear by manipulating the wiring harness.
-I have played with different aux cords
-My phone was out of its case so the aux cord could plug in without interference
-I'm wondering if I have a problem with the plug in on the back of my stereo since two different brands have not worked
-Seems unlikely to receive two different bad units from two different companies
Can anyone offer any suggestions on what I could try? I was really hoping one of the adapters would be an easy solution to allow aux input.
