Will do. Thanks! I was looking at the Taco Tunes version but wanted to see if anybody has pulled the trigger for an easy solution yet

    I researched
I researched this. Did it on last truck too. The gray solid wire behind head unit will connect to amps remote wire then run rear speaker wire on both sides to amp high level inputs. The rear left wires are black and white rear right wires are blue and green. You can connect behind head unit as well and run them to amp with amps remote wire. Easiest way im doing an install with pics on about three weeks. When your ready pm me ill get u through it

Awesome thank you. I'm waiting for that behind the seat molle panel before I figure out what sub/amp to get.

Im having mr marv build me one custom. You have to get “shallow subs” for behind seat or they will touch seat and ruin. If you have a power window u will more than likely have to have a box behind both seats so molle might not fit. Or u could install amp under driver seat and just smaller sub box behind one of the rear seats

I can fiberglass, but not sure what direction to go in yet. Maybe under the seats, maybe behind. You removed the plastic bins in the back right?

Yes. The box fits nicely. I never used them so a sub was more important. Im going to sound deadon then carpet or spray rear after plastic bins are removed then bedcoat or carpet sub box and it will all look real nice. I loved my last setup just changed to a 2017 with power window so needed a new built box

Ok. I finally got it all in yesterday.

    1) Be careful with those door pulls! I had one slip off after installation and putting door back together. It sucks! But, you can gently pry from the top and get to it - and then open the door, take it apart and fix it correctly... Ask me how I know.

    2) Sound is 10X better. I actually listen to the radio now. Before I kept it off because the sound was so damn muddy. I can hear vocals and individual guitar notes. Not possible on original system.

    3) I'm sure you could do even better with more expensive speakers - but for 200 bucks I'm MORE than satisfied. Thanks to OP for getting this going.

    4) If 200 bucks is too much - or taking the doors apart intimidates you - do the tweeters. For 100 bucks - it makes at least 50% of the improvement.

    5) Anyone know the part number for this little tab? I broke all but one of them .....door doohicky.jpg

Did you not release these before taking the door panel off? I’m surprised you broke 3 of them...

That was my thought .. thats the only way i see you could break them is by not unlocking them first (pushing in on middle)

WOW ... I can actually turn the volume of my stock HU up now and the music sounds incredible. I thought it sounded pretty good when i was listening yesterday at the volume level around 25 ... today i went for a ride and was cranking some classics like Joe Walsh, John Fogerty, Molly Hatchet and the Marshall Tucker Band and man when i got the volume cranked up to 40 and above the speakers sounded amazing
Today is the first day my wife heard all 6 new speakers, when i first cranked the volume to 45 my wife says " did you install an amp to? " she was swearing i added an amp, said she couldn't believe the speakers alone made that much difference
