Awesome. That's even close to me. I'll have to check it out! Thanks for sharing. I'm guessing you work at Hill?

Really easy to get to! Just start up Farmington canyon and turn north at the top. If you go south you can get over to the Bountiful Peak, looks sweet but I didn’t have time. My dad was at Hill, and I went to college there, but I’m down south in South Carolina now.

What kind of trails are you looking for and how far are you willing to travel to get to them?

I really just started this to be a good resource for all of us with tacomas who live here in Utah. Something to keep us all motivated to work so we can get out into nature. Get ideas of possible places to go. Get motivated to get out there and take advantage of what we have. I'm doing the white rim trail this weekend for the first time. I'll be sure to post some pictures. I'm super excited. It's getting me through the week. Just post where you go and let's see that taco of yours taking advantage of the off-road! P.S. That land cruiser is awesome.

There are lots of great places to off road in Utah.

The first set of pics is from Five Mile Pass. It was a fantastic trail, but I'm not sure I could find it again.

Then of course there is Moab, but most people already know about this one. Fins 'n Things was a lot of fun. Didn't get a lot of action photos, however.

Well Moab is an obvious one. Sand Hollow is great if you're willing to go to St George. But there are a million roads all over the state that are really fantastic if you just want to explore. Get a Benchmark Atlas for Utah (has tons of trails/roads mapped well). We've been using the Benchmark Atlas for years and we just open it up and pick a road/area we haven't explored and head out.

Finding the highest driveable road in the state near Signal Peak.

A stock Tacoma will do Fins and Things just fine. It's a great starter run on the slickrock.

Having done Fins & Things in a stock 4X4 access cab OR W/ tow package you will scrape your hitch receiver and destroy the trailer connector. The trail is in 2 segments. I was able to avoid the bigger obstacles by driving around them on the first section. On the second section there is a spot where you will ride your trailer receiver about 8' - 10' and crunch your stock placement trailer connector. After that, I left the second part of the trail at less than half way through.

Then I bought the Guide to Moab, UT Backroads book and thought it was an excellent reference to have. Showed where major obstacles on the trail are.
