    It's bird/duck season here now, so I'm off tomorrow and again the following Friday. Then I've got 2 weeks of only working Mon & Tue. then Friday's off for the remainder of the year. Looking forward to hitting the woods & water with Willy. Didn't get a chance to get out much last year as I was dealing with some minor health issues with my father - he's all good now!

    Doesn't quite feel like fall yet as we have record warmth in September. Heck - the leaves still haven't even started changing yet. It'll come soon though.

    I have only been bird hunting (not exactly sure what term to use) once and bagged a single Dove.

    Still had a really good time. Would like to try it again some day!

    It's so much fun with a dog (especially one I've trained). It's hard work as those birds are usually in growth so thick - the wind can't even blow. You've got to get in there when the dog points and try and flush the bird for a clean shot.
