Called The driveshaft shop this week and got some quotes on driveshafts.

I assumed they would be $200. I was wrong. $400.

I'm not gonna buy 2-$400 driveshafts cause eventually I was gonna go Ford rear end.

So I been searching craigslist and found a axle Ima try to pick up this week.

Should be able to handle all the power. Even 500+ and it's a little wider which will make it easier to fit some wider tires in the rear

    Awww.... Lame.

With 500+ goals Drums really gonna be enough to stop this thing? Or you counting on all the wind resistance from the rust?

You're seriously FLYING through this build, slow down man it takes me like a weekend to do an oil change and I HAVE tools.

Y'all say I'm flying thru it but really all I have is the engine and trans in lol.
    There's so much more

Picking up the new slave cylinder today and bolting it all on the truck. Then comes the fun part of finding someone to custom make me a hydraulic hose to connect it to the slave.

That'll basically take care of the auto to standard swap. I'm supposed to splice a nuetral safety wire somewhere according to the internet but the trucks factory wiring was already kind of cut up and ghetto rigged and you could turn the truck over in any gear so it's same to assume that's not gonna be a issue lol

Tired of looking for new wheels and right offsets and everything. So probably just gonna order these for the rear on the stock 14" wheels

Scratch that. This is the perfect setup. And I won't have to buy a spare set of wheels to drive like a would with the slicks.

Also. I had a 1974 Datsun I started building a few years back. Put a lot of money into it throughout months but took so long I got bored and sold it and never got to enjoy it. That's another reason why I'm hitting this hard.

I wanna be able to drive it and enjoy it and fix it up along the way rather than have it sitting for 2 years while I track down every single perfect or budget part.

I learned to drive in a 79 datsun pickup. (the first time when i was 3) 4 on the floor and by the time i was 8 or 9 the clutch just layed on the floor. When i was 3 i hoped in when dad was workin on the fence goin down our drive way and i fired it up, it was in 1st gear so it took off. Dad came running down the drive way and caught up with me. I couldnt reach the pedals but i kept it between the ditches and didnt knock down the first fence post.

It's currently getting built for 1,000+hp. $4k in the rear end alone. Fully built 2j. Built 370z trans. Etc. it went to a good home.
