Yes, this question. I upgraded to the JBL system after my first Taco was totaled 8 days after I bought it. I think it sounds pretty good, but I wonder if I made the right decision, maybe I should have gone factory and upgraded the speakers, although I'm not sure the boss would let me upgrade the speakers either way.

That looks like a good looking jack for Harbor Freight. I will have to check them out. Did you get the add on warranty. I used to sell the crap out of those things. I watched some college (diesel tech program) kids buy one. They ran over it with a truck, came in to exchange it, I was like I don't know about that, they showed me the warranty paper work, and I said, "let me call up a new one". I told them, its a good thing you bought the idiot insurance, now tell me the real story, you're getting a new one either way, but this has to have a great story behind it. Needless to say alcohol was involved.

Everyone's ears are different, so if you like you're system, then yes, you made the right decision. :)

I had the standard speakers and my buddy has the JBL upgrade. I ended putting in Type-R door speakers and 2 Type-R 8's in the back behind the rear seat. keeping the stock deck with a line out converter supported by two amps under the driver and passenger seat. My buddy w/ the JBL likes my set up better. I use my truck for work driving long distances so loud music is a must and my stocks weren't cutting it. Mind you it was probably one the most expensive mods I did to my rig but I do not regret it at all, even with losing what little space I had behind the rear seats.

Cool thanks. It says it uses patented clips so you can remove it to access the spare tire mechanism. That's the first I've ever seen like that. Cool.

Broke in the bed with a lil DIY project...ít hauled 1200lbs like a champ in ECP mode. Half a yard of limestone for several trips.

Installed the Shift Sense Pro in my 2016 TRD OR 4x4. Not sure yet if I like it or not.

I do like how I was able to tuck it away nicely. I really didn't like where most people mount them.

I hope that it meets your expectations, but these are the chances we take. Sometimes we win and sometimes not!

At first yes because you couldn't really wipe it with a cloth because it grabbed. I sprayed my grill with aero 303 rubber, vinyl protector and it gave it a satin finish and got rid of the rubbery feel. Now bugs wash right off and I can wipe it down without it being grippy.

Good looking truck! What front and rear bumpers you rocking? Also, what size are your tires and do you have a lift?

Thanks man I appreciate it! It's a work in progress like most haha. I have the SOS CONCEPTS front streamline bumper and High Clearance rear bumper.

My lift is Toytec 3" lift coils up front with Billstein 5100's all the way around and a Deaver AAL in the rear.

I'm honestly not happy with the height. I want to change to an OME or King setup. But that's about 3500 bucks that i currently don't have haha.

I have a tailgate bar as well. Mine is a Opt7 with the sequential blinkers, link below. It is stiff becasue they put the LEDs in an aluminium channel and then cover them with epoxy.

I attached the bar to some hard plastic "velcro" that both parts are the same meaning not the soft hook and fabric type loop. I used the red 3M automotive tape and put a matching strip on each side of the spare access hole. So if I need to access the spare I can pull the tailgate bar off and re-attach when the job is done.
