Did a quick search and turned up nothing.

So I'm in the market for new larger tires. However I'm having trouble figuring out the question everybody on truck forums asks.. What size tire can I fit on X lift?

After reading countless threads about this I realize every truck will have different results so its difficult to ask everyone about my specific truck.

What I want to do is my own test using the Spare wheel. I was thinking of purchasing a used 285/75/16 tire and mounting it on my spare wheel. Then install it on each front corner of my truck to test the clearance / rubbing, if there are no issues, then I will go ahead and wrap the rest of the wheels with fresh rubber in that size.

Before you ask, my truck has a 3" lift already with stock alloys.

The only question I have now is regarding the spare wheel itself. In order for this to work, the spare wheel has to have the same dimensions as the OEM alloys (3rd Gen TRD OR).

Does anyone know if the spare wheel has the same offset and width as the OEM Alloy?
