I think you're correct. I didn't mean to indicate that the OR wheels were heavier, although I would be interested in knowing tHe weight difference between the stock steel wheels and TRD OR wheels.

I am looking at lift kits.. Has anyone noticed more lift than advertised since we are the lighter weight of Toyota trucks?

I'm looking at 6112(3/2 or 4/3 setting) and possibly Deaver j66 for rear with 5100 shocks. No added weight up front, but camper shell on future.

I think the off-road rims are 24/27lbs? And the steel rims are 32.

    Too few to list.
Some say 24 lbs and some say 25 lbs for the OR wheel. I don't think they are anymore heavier than that. Now for the steel wheel, they are 28 lbs but again, some say as heavy as 30 lbs.

Anyway, the stock Hankook Dynapro HT's are 32 lbs per their website. 32 lbs plus 28 lb wheel = 60 lbs.

The Goodyear adventure tires are 35 lbs per their website. I am assuming the heavier weight of the OR wheel at 25 lbs so 35lbs + 25lbs = 60 lbs as well.

Regardless of the wheel/tire weight, the truck itself weighs around 4,220 lbs according to Toyota. It's a heavy truck powered by the 2.7L.

Negative the weight differences are negligible. If you go with a heavy coil on your strut or coilover setup ya you'll have more lift but it'll be like riding in a wagon. Personally I run 700lb 14" coils on my kings but that's cause my truck is a fat bitch

So you are saying she rides better when she has junk in the trunk. Could not agree more!

I got them assembled on 4/3 settings 1" ordered Friday along with, 5100 and Wheelers 5 leaf HD springs with super bumps all around. I'll add weight to mine in a form of a shell.

Liking that idea with the cargo box, I have a Thule left over from my Subaru days which would work perfectly. Which cross bars are those?

You can fit an OR spare in the rocket box barely.

I am looking to upgrade to a shell. I would much rather sleep in my truck than hotel when traveling out west.

Yeah it holds up well. I would consider it a minimalist option compared to a shell.

Looking to upsize stock tires from 215 75R15 to either 235 75R15s or 235 70R16s...

Will I have any fitment issues on an '07 2wd?

Also, can anyone recommend 15" or 16" aftermarket rims that will fit?

Read a comment that 90% of 16" aftermarket rims won't fit b/c they hit the caliper... Don't know if 15s will be worse...

Looking for inexpensive black rims that won't attract attention in Mexico...

Tirewise, I'm looking at Falken Wildpeaks and MT Deegan 38s... :mudding:

I'd like to bump the tire out a bit. Any suggestions on offsets?

This truck is great. I decided to go find some back roads (loose gravel) to feel how different the truck would feel on FS roads on my stock 245/75/16 Hankook HT all season. It is stout yet forgiving and, with the all season tires, it had quite a bit of traction unless I really pushed it. FullSizeRender.jpg
