Whats going on guys. New to the group so this is my first post

In March I purchased my first Tacoma. A 10 DCLB in the beautiful pyrite mica. Have to say I feel in love haha. But what I didn’t fall in love with was the rear leafs are shot. Driveable but shot.

Problem is the truck is originally from Canada and I purchased it in Iowa as the second owner. In the lower 48 I can not get the recall work done until Canada releases it here in the states. Or so I am told.

Has anybody run into this issue? Anybody gotten the recall work done on a Canadian Toyota in America?

    Thanks in advance

Did whoever told you this explain what that even means, and what the procedure might be to process what I'd assume to be paperwork?

If they didn't, ask. If they can't tell you, call Toyota US and ask.

If they say it can't / won't be done, buy a real leaf pack and go on your way.

However. I'll assume from both locations it's been a salted truck. I'd be examining the frame with a fine tooth comb, and be taking preservation measures if it's in good shape. Or focusing on that issue with Toyota if its not.
'Cause the spring are nothing if they don't have something solid to attach to. :fingerscrossed:

mine is Canadian as well, bought it at a 3rd party dealership. Brought it to my local Toyota dealership for routine maintenance and leaf spring recall/frame inspection. They've had my truck in their service department for the last 4 months, they say they're still waiting to receive the parts from Canada Toyota. Bright side is I was given a loaner free of charge, in the mean time I'm not putting miles on the truck and I'm saving on gas but they've done a pretty shitty job keeping me informed. Been a pretty ridiculous ordeal. Wish i had more information to give you but hope this gives you an idea
