    Mornin everyone Happy TGIF !!!

    Currently at 1019hrs its 74° and high temp expected to reach 81° today

    Had alot of fun yesterday at the car show /cruise in , there was maybe 30 cars and some nice ones like that Austin Healey . Even a 2016 Lamborghini Gallardo with a supercharged V10 and also a 2017 Audi R8

    A lot of people liked my Camaro Yesterday and even was invited to big car show in Barstow later this month . When I got ready to leave last night I always will let the motor build some heat before leaving . As I was idling and looking at my gauges I glance up and look to see a lot of people standing around my Camaro

    It was wild they were all just standing there practically drooling with cell phone camera pointed at me . as I put it into gear the crowd I attracted wouldn't move and this crowd almost followed me down the parking lot

    Even as I was trying to get onto the street some kid in a van was giving me a call out and wanted to run him

    Remind me to tell you guys about harnesses, treestands, fall protection, self rescue/recovery, suspension trauma, compartment syndrome, ropes, rigging, etc... it's easy to do it right/safely, it's also easy to do it the other way and not know the difference.

    (the guy with 30 years of professional rigging, rope rescue, rope access and fall protection training experience....)

    Oh ok real rigging and repelling stuff lol Look up the system some one designed for the C-5 it was designed for self rescue supposedly.. Minor problems first when you hit the end of the safety strap it yanks a 18 bungee cord and stitched flat strap that is designed to break the stitches to slow your fall till you hit the bungee.. Which promptly smacks you into the plane unless your on the 6 story tail. Then it just leaves you hanging in space. Which is ok till you reach up and yank the cord for the lowering reel. It works like a champ except you are 25 feet shy of the ground when you run out of line from the tail. only 15 or so from the back bone lol . So you have about mm if I recall 30 min before the harness fully cuts the circulation off to your legs so if the FD can't get there with their equipment or you are deployed and they do not have that equipment .... Sigh lol I am positive it was designed by a committee :}

    PS if you are unlucky enough to fall toward the front of the plane from the front part of the horizontal tail yeah it does nothing for you the distance is to short for the system to work so you just splat into the back bone or front edge of the vertical stab:}

    Called it an early day, 7 hours is enough. And Monday morning is a better time for hand mixing concrete than Friday afternoon. Thinking of grilling some pork chops...also thinking about just being a slug and not doing anything the rest of the day.
