Purchased a 2007 quad cab with a 3" rough county lift. Do not want to keep the lift and I qualify for the leaf replacement from Toyota. I will be removing the 2" blocks from the back and Toyota will replace the leafs. My question is more for the front. I do want to level out the front of the truck and make it convenient to do a bigger lift in the future. After a lot of reading I think I should go with adjustable bilsteins 5100 on the front and 5100 for the back.

Truck has 190,000 miles. Do you think I can use original Coils? If not which coils would you get to work with those Bilsteins. Thanks RIck

I recently did front and rear 5100's on my 09 with 145k miles, and bought Toytec/Eibach coils to avoid using the original coils.

I believe you have to set the 5100's on the middle setting to level the truck with the stock coils. I did not want to preload and have a harsh ride, the Toytec springs gave me a little under 2" in the front with the 5100 set on the lowest setting. Rides great! OME 884 or 885 would be a good coil option as well, but will depend on whether you plan on adding additional weight to the front (e.g., winch, steel bumper).

I think you have a good idea. 1500s in the front with the Toyota new lifts in the rear. If you install yourself.

Will give you a good lift for now.

You probably can reuse the coils. If you want to replace those though just go for the full lift kit now. Once you buy new coil overs you might as well throw down the extra $700ish bucks for UCAs and an AAL.
