So while my Taco rear diff was waiting to get fixed I got my hands on a nice TRD Sport 4x4. The AC broke. I turned on the AC and it sounded like someone dropped a few golfballs in a blender and turned it on. Sound came from the passenger compartment.

So I dropped it off at the dealership and the ... employee there...said that the blowers are failing left and right. The issue is the plastic around a metal pin that is supporting it is apparently failing. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

You mentioned, your truck was getting the rear end fixed, you got your hands on a TRD sport. Was that your loaner or did you trade yours in?

I have a 4x2 4banger double cab. They gave me a 2017 TRD Sport 4x4 double cab which I had about 5 weeks. Then the next one they gave me was a TRD Off-road in the exact configuration I would have gotten if I could afford it. That thing had only 2k miles on it and the suspension was way better than the Sport off and on road.

So to clarify I still have my old 4banger and after driving the other 2 I feel like I am not missing out on too much. It accelerates around town just fine and I rarely drive it on the highway which is where it really underperforms. But I am glad I spent 25k vs 34k. Still moving into a full size when I can because my family is growing pretty quick.
