I just installed these brand new TYC headlights from Amazon(same exact ones from RockAuto though) and they constantly wobble. I only saw one adjusting knob/bolt for adjusting the aim of the lights but I cant find anything that secures or tightens the entire light so it doesn't wobble. Am I missing something here ??? They are pivoting/wobbling at the 2 white plastic pieces that attach the black pieces to the headlight. The stock headlights have the same exact white plastic pieces but the bolts that go into them do NOT wobble that much. They are stiff instead of freely wobbling. Is this normal for 40$(x2) aftermarket OEM headlights? The only solution I can come up with so far is to inject some silicone or hot glue into the white plastic pieces to stiffen up and secure them from wobbling but that seems absurd. Any hints and tips are appreciated!

I got TYC ones from Rock Auto, but I spent the extra $10 and got the CAPA certified ones, and they fit perfectly.

Also, I generally avoid buy auto parts from Amazon. Too easy to fake them or just hide crappy parts behind the anonymity of Amazon. Just get them from a reputable parts dealer next time.

Well i ordered a new set of TYC lights from Rock Auto and what do ya know! they are perfect! I know for a fact now that the original lights i ordered off of scamazon were Chinese knock offs. The Rock Auto lights came in very official professional CAPA labeled and sealed boxes unlike the scamazon lights which came in plain boxes with no CAPA labeling or seals. Thanks for the suggestion to buy off Rock Auto instead. I have learned my lesson. RA only from now on!

Glad they worked out for you. I like to hear that when I make a recommendation, I don’t end up looking like an ass!

I’ve read some posts that say the CAPA cert is just a scam, and they just charge you to put stickers on crap headlights, but here we have an exaple showing that not to be the case. The CAPA really do show quality improvements over the non labeled chinese crap.

Easily worth the extra few bucks!

I cant find tyc for my 02 on rockauto. I must be missing something? How long do these last before they start fogging like the ones I have on my truck now? Ive been using insect repellent with deet to wipe my lenses clear for a couple years now. Figure its about time that I replace them. Lol

You need to apply a UV protection coating on it in order to keep it from turning yellow.
