Hey Taco lovers! I’m going to run 4 gage wire for some audio. Was wondering if anyone knows of pre-made holes in the firewall?

also look for a grommet under the truck directly under the drivers seat. That's where I ran my CB antenna. It was easy with no leaking.

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
There is also a spot on the passenger side that has two nipples that you can cut the ends off of and run wires through. The may be to small for 4 gage wire though. I used it to run the coax cable and power cable for a CB.

I ran my CB wires out of the AC drain grommet on the passengers side, there is plenty of room around the hose.

I used that gromet too, but it's too tight to put much else through, so I put a small hole in it to run power wires from the battery to run my high powered ham radio- and then black siliconed it closed around the wires.

There is another (skywalker). Just pull out the plug and viola, instant access to the interior. I used a pencil tip soldering iron to melt a hole in the interior carpet and added a grommet to protect the wire loom. Hasn’t leaked yet and we’ve had buckets of rain lately. And a few under hood washings.ED4AA724-9687-4257-BF8D-E8CADEF50577.jpg0F695FAD-770B-4D8D-88C0-53BB51CBE074.jpg

If your running 4 Gage wire this is probably a better spot. I think the spot I used on the passenger side is going to be too small.

I opened it up some with a step bit, buffed the edges with a fine tooth file, and lined it with liquid electric tape and the grommet. Overkill, but I’m not worried about it one bit. Fire bad. It dumps into the cab safely out of the way and above the clutch pedal. 4 GA would be easy to fit.
