    I have a 2017 TRD sport.
Do they add power and increase MPG?
    Are they worth it?

I think it is more Snake Oil like all the HP, and MPG Gains with the aftermarket Cold Air Intakes they claim.

If you think logically, if putting that on increased mileage and power, why would they not put it there from factory?

This is not related but I just put 285/70/17s on with a 2.5in level lift and now it seems like the truck shifts a little early. Is this something the computer will fix on its own or do I have to get it reprogramed ?

A throttle body spacer would definitely fix this issue lol

I ordered one from AFE. I emailed them and asked if they had tested them because most people poo poo them for these engines, even though they have no first hand knowledge. The reply was that they have seen 10 hp gains and 14 if in conjunction with cai. I will soon have first hand knowledge. I am sure lots of people waste more $ on more stupid things.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Post the before and after dyno. I'd be interested in seeing the numbers.

From past experience, I've never seen a direct performance improvement from a throttle body spacer. Generally, I hear more bad feedback (whistling noises, CEL triggers, poor fitment) than positive things with them. However, on older vehicles from the 80's and 90's, opening up the throttle body itself was usually good for a few horsepower, especially with proper tuning.

On newer vehicles, air induction elements are generally as good as they can be, especially with engineers trying to maximize small airflow opportunities to squeak out performance and MPG efficiency. Exhaust is usually where you can find some opportunities, but that has more to do with overcoming design elements in place that lower emissions and decibel level. But, as you said, people waste their money on a lot worse things than this.

I am interested in seeing the results also. They are not posted on the website as of the other day anyways. Supposably they are coming soon. Hard to believe they would just throw numbers out there or have somebody in their company email false results back to people that ask about the testing. But I guess you never know. I am happy with the cold air intake and Dynamic scoop that I got from them. So I thought I'd give it a shot. Call me crazy, I have been called worse!

    The most useless thing ever.

If a 2” spacer made THAT much of a difference, Toyota would have done it. It’s simple.

Check out the afe site, it will splain it better than I can. Or just wait till Dy10n chimes in. I'm sure he will let you know if you should spend any $ on one!:argue::)
