Yeah, it seemed to be standard issue to throw vodka in the freezer. Never considered it for my bourbon. Just figured those boys just did that to make that shit go down easier.

Love my slideout. Perfect for camping.
Heading up east of Shasta for some fly fishing. Throw back a few beers, and snooze in the shade of a few pine trees.

I just like the fact that they tell you they went to a 4 year university and got a great job making 65-75k a year and the look on their face when I explain I barely made it through high school make 100k a year and get full benefits for me my wife and all my kids at no cost to me and have no student loans to pay off. My son has a couple buddies in school that are having a tough time with grades but are very mechanically inclined and I'm trying to talk them into becoming a union mechanic. All our wrench turners at Ghilotti were making 100-125k a year. A lot of the blue collar jobs are paying good wages now days.

I spend half my day sitting and half standing and walking around. It used to be all standing with just a little sitting. I always thought it'd be great if I could sit. Turns out sitting sucks!

I feel like most people don't want to "work" hard for a living.

I cook for a living. I have an associates degree from one of the best Culinary schools in the world. I do pretty well with my associates. However, the truth is the degree has little to do with my success. It's gotten me a lot but mostly it's just showing up and working your ass off and (key component here) making others around you better.

With all that said I don't recommend cooking for a living as a career. I'm lucky I found corporate dining. I work 6am-3pm and have weekends and holidays off. But, before this 80-100 work weeks are normal. And I don't mean I was at work 80-100 hours I mean I worked...like actually did work 80-100 hours a week.
Chefs don't retire. They die at the stove.

Yeah that's the problem nowadays nobody wants to work for a living. The good thing is if you go off to college you can learn how to protest and throw garbage cans through windows of Starbucks :D

I kinda like the idea of throwing garbage cans through star bucks windows. That's what you should get for making bitter coffee.
Plus it's good for the garbage can industry and for the window industry.
