    Just curious.......my recent searching for a newer Taco.......sold a '98...

Automatic wayyy more common......some dealers even told me....

'no one knows how to drive stick'...really ?

    when I found a good prospect....I told the guy....dammmm

    its a stick........he said...I'll give you a helluva deal.......OK....

(just what I was lookin' for) ended up with my '14 DCSB stick.......

    So......living in Podunk.....stick is just fine.....high mtn's & desert........

more reliable gear driven transmission......first tank for MPG tomorrow......

    wife has an '05 DCSB TURD Auto...just way B O R I N G to drive..........

    Any similar thoughts.......?

I only like stick when I'm going fast or trying to have fun. Otherwise it sucks.

I live in metro atlanta and work in down town. Everyone thought I was nuts for getting a manual. My thought was if your stuck in traffic it sucks no matter. Rest of the time, I might as well enjoy driving and drive what I want.

That's what cause me to switch to a auto when I bought my truck. Last three cars were manual.... no more for that unforgiving fwy.

If I lived in the country or rural area then yeah I'd get a 6spd but not the 6spd Toyota has for the Tacoma, I'd rather swap out to the Tremec T-56 instead
