I can't let the wife know
Planning a 3 day fishing trip up to Lake Shasta and it's surrounding areas. I would love any suggestions on lakes that allow free camping as close to water. I'll be staying in a rtt. I'll be targeting trout or equivalent fish during day and catfish at night. Any advice is welcomed.20170904_061309.jpg

Up in my area we have Bullards Bar, Little Grass Valley and Collins Lake, unfortunately all those locations charge to camp near the lakes. There are however a few free camp areas within 15-20 min to the areas. Golden Trout Crossing is one, if your interested I can point you in the direction of a few others.
