A friend and I hit Sunday River yesterday. Top 3 powder day of my life! Started puking snow around 9/930 that morning and didn't stop until this morning. Free refills alllllll day. Legs are toast- just climbing into and out of my truck hurts today. Still... worth it!

I'm pretty sure there's already a "northeast skiing" thread somewhere.

But it's been a great snow year for the north east. Jay peak is reporting over 350 inches this season!

Mmm Jay, so good. If they get another powder day in the next two weeks I may make the pilgrimage.

I think southern VT is getting 20" from what I've heard from a buddy but haven't looked too far into it. Buddy is trying to convince me to go Saturday morning - we shall see.

I need new skis at the end of this season. What's everyone rocking?

Thinking of one ski 85-90 width or two skis. One powder and one groomer set-up. Thoughts?

I'm riding on Black Diamond alpine touring skis with downhill "knee" bindings. They are super light and are easy to whip around for an all mountain ski.

I would check out SteepandCheap.com for their ski sales, I've gotten my last two pairs off season for dirt cheap.

Went to local ski shop Suburban Bike & Ski - demo-ing the Line Sick Day 102 this weekend for up north and put a pair of Rossi Experience 88's with Look SPX12 bindings on layaway/hold until next week.

Thinking of heading up to Magic Mountain on Saturday morning and getting there for first chair with my buddy and his boss, they're getting around 20" supposedly according to the forecasts I saw.

Anyone getting the itch yet this year?? i was looking at the killington Pre-buy tickets already. about half price over a regular day ticket in-season.

Edit: K-tickets are only on sale until the 12th this month and they are $69 each this year. buy 7 get 1 free as usual.

YES!! I was just up in VT hiking, and it's cold up top already... Hopefully it's a good ski season!

I'll pick up a few K-tickets, thanks for the heads up.
