My 2016 TRD Sport with new Falken Wildpeak AT3s 265/70/17. No lift, stock rims, no rubbing. I like the look. I like these tires too!

Hey guys I have a question regarding fitment.....I have 2011 SR5 PreRunner 4dr. I want to go from the factory 16" to 17" and a bigger tire.

The factory tire i have on 245/75R16. I recently purchased 265/70-17 Falken Wildpeak AT3 and would like to put these on with new 17' wheel below....

    17X8.5 15mm 6x139.7 AMERICAN OUTLAW Hollywood Black Wheels/Rims 17 Inch

Can anyone advise on the offset and the fitment? Or what offset I should be looking for?

Depending how far you want your new tire and wheel package to stick out I would recommend a 4.5” to 5” backspace wheel. Stock is about 5.25” so doing this will give it a slightly more aggressive stance. Plus if you ever want to run a bigger tire in the future you won’t need new wheels since these will allow for the needed space between the tire and the upper control arm. Now I’m saying back space not offset. Since wheel width and offset affect the back space you can have an 8 inch wide rim with. +10mm offset and it will stick out different then a 8.5 inch and +10mm offset.

Use the calculator tool to help with the whole offset and backspace deal

    Hope this helps

Thank you sir. It doesn't look like there are a lot of info on backspace for tires online. Seeing more offset info.. Wanting to get in on the discount tire ebay deal before it expires.

Based on all the info I gathered on the stock wheels on the 2011 4dr pre runner vs the American Outlaw wheel... This is what the calculator came up with...Screen Shot 2017-10-22 at 9.55.18 PM.jpg
Does this look about right to you guys? Thanks for all the help.

Just got some 265/70r17 bfg ko2s installed. No lift, stock sport wheels, mudflaps on and no rubbing... but it has only spent time on the street.

on a side note... is it typical to have marks like this after the old weights are removed from my wheels?
