Hey fellas yesterday i scraped the front of my car it's just mainly the plastic part under the lower grille. And I was wondering if it was easy to replace or would I have to take off the whole bumper on my 2013 tacoma? Thank you!

If the scratches arent too bad you could just clean it up and plasti-dip it black and it will look better than when it was new. :)
If its too messed up then it should be able to pop off and be replaced. I tryed taking mine off but didnt want to break any clips so I stoped and just taped it off to spray it.

do a search and see if you can find some one that has taken it off.

Was there alot of clips? I couldn't find the clips only saw screws on the bottom of it haha if we plastic dip it would they have to take off the front bumper? I'm trying to avoid that because bumper tab would get weaker :(

As long as you tape it off properly around the edges and behind you should be ok with not having to remove anything

yeah, just tape it off and maybe look up a how to plasti-dip on you-tube.

but the plasti-dip will hide scratches nicely bc its such a thick rubberized product.. make sure to clean it well with alcohol or something.

There are 5 blue locking tabs behind the bumper cover that hold the lower fascia in place along with a series of tabs on the top and bottom of the fascia that you can reach from above. Only two of the blue tabs are "easy" to reach without removing the bumper cover. Those two are up on each end of the aluminum bumper.

The other 3 are in front of the bumper and are very difficult to get to. You can remove the six 10mm screws in the bottom of the bumper cover and flex it out, trying to get your hand in to remove but they are a biatch to release from that angle.

I removed the two outside blue tabs, released all the locking tabs on top and bottom, then gave it a good yank. This broke all three tabs that were in front of the bumper. I simply reattached them with a plastic epoxy and they are stronger than new. After plasti-dip'ing the fascia, I flexed the bumper as described above and was able to reinstall the remaining 3 blue locking tabs.

In hindsight, it would have been easier to tape off and plasti-dip but I wanted the "perfect" paint job on it.

I'm in the process of plastic dipping mine as well, yeah it would be a lot easier doing it on the car, plus the clean up is pretty easy, I did the 2 plastic pieces surrounding the foglights I installed and looked pretty good

I know you can buy just that lower valance peice and replace it. Not sure if you have to remove the whole bumper to do it.

I wouldn't plasti dip it. Looks horrible.
