Everything I've seen regarding the "rumble strip" feeling when stopping seems to lean to 4WD models, but I'm having the exact symptoms of the driveline TSB in my 2WD Sport. It's the worst at exactly 20mph as I'm slowing but is felt 80% of the time under moderate braking. I'm familiar with warped rotors/drums and I'm pretty sure that's not the case here.

I took it in about 7k ago and of course, the tech couldn't feel it. Seems like it's getting worse but that might just be my patience wearing thin with it. Anyone else feeling this in their 2WD or have any ideas?

Huh... have you check the u-joint at the carrier and the drive shaft and near the transmission. Give them some grease and see if that helps

I've checked the U-bolts at the rear leafs. No zerks on 2wd, not sure how I would go about greasing?

It's not really a pulsating feeling, it's much faster than that. I can also feel some vibration when it downshifts while coasting to a stop.

Ask service writer do test ride in new tacoma with you, then replicate test in yours right after so he can feel what you are feeling.

I am not real familiar with the application of grease to the u joints. But since it's new take it in and have the dealer do it on its next service

Have you ever had the transmission fluid checked?

Nope, but it's been in the back of my mind with all the reports floating around here. Could this be a symptom of low ATF?

Interesting. Mine's a 2016 also. Did that fix the rumble?

Low atf and burnt up torque converter clutch could be the cause.
