Please post picks of warped grills

Saw a couple threads about this and wanted to take as many photos of your guys photos to the dealer and show them for some extra ammo for warranty work. I took a couple photos from the other threads so sorry if I ripped off pic of your truck. Thanks, I’ll post what happens with the dealer.

 

Why would you need pictures of other peoples issues for your warranty work?

Are they saying your issue was something you did?

 

Here are photos of my grill surround deformity. Fortunately my dealer is replacing the grill surround under warranty. After seeing it, took them less than 10 minutes to decide to replace it under warranty. There's also a link to my particular thread.

I'm looking forward to hearing that your dealer will decide to do the right thing and warranty this issue for you. I had no issues or hassles from my dealer. It took them less than 10 minutes to decide to replace my grill surround under warranty even though they had never seen or heard of this issue, or so they say. Regardless I'm fortunate to be working with an ethical dealer who values customer retention and practices excellent customer care. I wish you the best for a speedy resolution to your issue.

 

I'm having the same warping problem with my 2017 Tacoma TRD. Dealer will replace the grill, but says it's backordered. Question for anyone who's been through this: are the replacements doing any better?

 

I have a deformed grille bezel also, was like this from the day one. Mine has 2 dips in the general location. There is NOTHING hot under the hood/grille to cause the deformity. Cheap plastic.

 

Hey man, I just got a new grill assembly and warped. So now I’m on my third sense new. This is def an issue. You have to stay on top of the dealers. Took them a month to get my grill replacement. It only took three weeks to fix 10,000 dollars worth of damage to fix an insurance claim. They are dodging a recall. Keep going back with it and take many photos.

 

Mine is like that as well. Maybe even exactly. So far I’m not to worried but it looks as if I need to keep an eye on it.

 

I was having that problem where one side was .25in under the grill plastic and the other side was sticking out about .25in, basically slanted. I mentioned it in passing to one of the guys at the tire shop I go to and he said (in spanish) "Im sorry about that sometimes the guys will accidentally move this (some plastic stoppers right under that area) and will end up messing wih the hoods stance" and he corrected it in like 2 seconds.

 

Yeah that def looks like hood stops.

 

Today I learned that that was their name lol If its not crooked, as in wavy or anything, then yeah Id bet its the hood stops.

 

Tbh idk if that's the name. But yeah it's like a linear straight line. Not wavy and warpy.

 

Thats actually like mine was but a little more exaggerated, might wanna try that if you havent already fixed it @Dacon

 

Thought someone did a real bad job trying to steal the grill, anyways here's my pics.

 

Why would someone want to steal a tacoma grill?

 

Wow, Toyota really screwed the pooch on this one. I've never seen one so bad.

 

That’s probably out of warranty and it’s getting worse as well. Lol

 

Honestly... I'd be looking into lemon law.
