The best sound deadening setup has 3 layers- CLD, CCF, then MLV
MLV is too heavy for roof so it is recommended to do the CLD then the CCF- so to answer your question.. that's a pretty good plan

I was nt talking about that hole setup, just asking about the foam. Curently my dome light rattles loud enough for me to hear over 145 dbs of bass. And the headliner its self flexs about 1 to 2 inches. The roof it self flexes about 1 to 1.5 inches and they smack one another. I want to limit that as the smacking and light rattle are ruining the experience.

Yeah you can buff the rest of the paint off the rim.
