Has anyone here swapped out the weak Toyota horn for something louder? I don't want to do an air horn(yet), because of the air compressor needed. What kind of horn did you use? Is there any rewiring needed?

Are they plug N' play or is wiring needed? Not a big deal either way, just wondering.

From my understanding hella require mininal wiring. I have been interested in getting a set myself but i have been wanting to hear how they sound in person first. A video can only do something so much justice you know? I am curious to see what comes of this thrwas though

Hella twin trumpets. Loud sound but sound has a better range. Just needed to splice wire to horns and then run grounds. Easy peasy.

I heard the supertones but it was waaaay too high pitched for my liking.

https://youtu.be/FEg1aDsVyHM 1:15 & 2:20 for comparison. The rest of the video is a bit long winded. Not my vid

Hella Supertones, but if you like a deeper tone, you can always try PIAA. Amazon has it.

I installed the Wolo Big Bad Max. Much louder and more masculine. I did have to bump the fuse up a little, nothing crazy though.
