Weekly Photography Challenge Thread (see first post rules and then the poll at top before entering)

All depends on what you like.. personally I love black and white.

 

When it sucks in color before we throw it in the trash we make it B&W to see if there is any hope left for it.

lol


Or I usually will do B&W will old historic stuff, some close up's or sometimes the contrast in a scene just makes me want to try it in B&W. Sometimes I just look at it and say to myself this would look great in B&W. But then again I did B&W in a darkroom for years too.

 

Yeah haha I was going to say that too. If I don't like the colors I'll change it to black and white.
I guess it's just preference! I mostly shoot portraits, weddings, etc. So most of the shots I choose to make black and white are usually close ups.

 

Yeah I was going to add in there portraits too. I love a good B&W portrait. To hell with weddings, been there done that. Never again, nope. Thank God I never ran into bridezilla. I probably would have cussed her ass out.

I knew there was more background to you when I saw your second photo. Third one drove that thought home. How long you been doing this?

Yeah some weddings can be stressful but I love it!
I've been into photography since high school, but have been doing it more seriously for the past 3 years ish.

 

Here's the relic I started out on. Bought it brand new. lol

I shot many weddings with that thing.

Back when Sunpack was actually a top notch brand and not the crap it is today.

 

Amazing how my new FF camera is so much bigger than my old FF camera.

WTH went wrong in there?

 

Go to the top bar menu where it says "select" and click it. There should be a drop down with a "Deselect" option. Click that and it should clear the selection.

Drat! I just went wheeling in a place with beautiful fall colors.

 

I guess you should go again then.

 

There aren't colors here yet, its still 70+degrees....

 

time to go to a craft store and get creative haha. its the same here sadly.

 

Time to venture out while stuck in Chitown for the week.
