Tell me A/T3W owners... Are you satisfied with what you got..?

    I have a couple questions..

    Where is this tire made?

Do they have a rim gurard?

Do the SL versions have a thick sidewall?

Am I better off to get the 245/75/16 that is E rated with more tread versus my factory 265/70/16 SL size?

You get more tread with the LT, and it is not that much heavier..Still under 50lbs..

I don't like the bulging sidewall of these All terrain adventures that came with the truck..

Tell me your thoughts please folks...

It seems people are straying to these from the BFG KO2's..

Put about 5K miles on mine, mix of highway and off road (mud/dirt from NY) :

I honestly love my Falkens, I originally wanted the Nittos but unfortunately the size I wanted was in a high ply tire that I couldn’t justify the extra added weight

KO2s have really shitty wet traction after they’re a bit worn down, I’ve dealt with it on my 1st Gen and it was scary to say the least.

Wild peaks are awesome in the wet and cold - can’t say snow and ice as I haven’t owned the truck when snow was on the ground.

Wild peaks are pretty quiet - about as quiet as the Nitto Ridge Grapplers maybe a notch louder but not much.

Overall I risked getting the Falkens but I’m glad I took it couldn’t ask for a better tire honestly

That’s surprising the seem louder than ridge, happy about that because ridge is top of list with KO and at3w. Thought the ridge shoulders would be louder due to more space between. Thanks for info!

I'm looking at getting some as well. Getting all 4 corners at 265/75/16 for under 500 dollars to my door and that price just can't be beat.

Very happy with the ones on my patrol rig. So happy in fact I think I'm going to make it my standard fleet tire for any vehicle that sees off-road use. The 245/70R17E I currently have are made in Thailand. Would have gone for the 265/70R17E if it wasn't such a hassle to get approval to change tire sizes.

All hands are pointing at these...

If anyone has any links to good reviews on these other than by people that are probably paid to review.... Would be awsome...lol

I have had mine for about 18k miles now and I think they're great. Had no problem with traction in the Florida sand nor the constant wet surfaces from the rain. The have worn well with no excessive wear or anything. I have 265/75/16 in SL. The lower weight makes it so there's no decrease in MPG. I average about 17-19 depending on driving habits or conditions. I'd buy them again without thinking and for the price I paid I could another set and come close to about the same price as a set of duratracs or ko2s

Check out discount tire as well as their eBay store. Hope this helps

Edit: since I moved back to Mass. this will be my first winter with them so idk how they are in snow but I'm confident they will perform well

I like mine a lot. there is a huuuuge thread on here about them, some people were having premature wear issues. I think it turned out to be one bad batch, and Discount Tire and Falken both made it right with those folks.

    Thanks for your input fellas..

    Its GREATLY appreciated..

I've always had full size trucks... So getting an LT wasn't a big deal.. Which broadens the tire selection spectrum...lol

I don't want to put an LT on this Tacoma, I feel it will hinder the poor lil bugger..lol

I like the mileage I'm getting at the moment... And when you get into an LT, I find they lack the "roundness" of a P..

Now when I go to get some Falkens installed, I have to worry if they will be installed properly.. Nobody at any tire shop knows how to install tires.. Its easy, but you can screw it up if you don't know what your doing...

Every picture I see of wildpeaks shows the yellow and red dots... What are those for everyone wonders?!... Even the installers...LOL

They are there for a good reason.. And are never used..

I think Costco is the only place that knows how to put tires on..

Ended up getting a set of dedicated winter tires on OEM Tacoma steelies from a base model..

After a long hard battle with my OCD, I went with the Cooper Discoverer M+S..

These have been around for eons.. And I see them on local service vehicles..

I've already had snow and let me tell you, these are good.

I've been running Duratracs and Blizzak W965's in the winter for the last few years and this is much better than both of those in the snow..

    Serious bite..

I just had a set installed a few hundred miles ago. They ride great and balanced out well with minimal weight. First impressions are great so far

FWIW, I just picked up a set of four 265/75/16 from Tirebuyer for a total of $428. Free shipping to an installer and a $75 coupon.
