just got a new taco 4door 4x4. 200 miles on it. Loaded it up with some fire wood. Perhaps 500# or so. Evenly loaded. Now it looks like the truck leans to the left. Distance from center of hub to the frame of the truck is within 1/4” on both sides. What could be causing the lean? Did I twist the frame with a small load in the back?

For some reason a lot of these do just that -- take it to your dealer -- they will say they don't see it!!
    BTW mine does it!

Yeah. Most leans look like they set in over years or with modifications. This is as new as new gets. I put a level on the front of the bed and it’s flat and then on the tail gate and it is off. It’s like the bed is twisted. Anyone seen that?

This happens to me when I haul firewood. My theory is that the leaf springs aren't returning to their natural settling point. I don't sweat 1/4", though (normal) ... but have seen up to 3/4" difference between firewood trips.

Every load that I haul they will return to a different height. Sometimes even, sometimes not. Either way, it always goes back to where it was pretty quickly for me. A quick trip around the block and over a few decent bumps should set you straight again.
