I've got a pair of Kicker RT10 subs in a DIY box. They bump pretty good on an 800 watt amp @ 2 ohms

Nah, I didn't make a build thread I just built the box piece by piece. Here's a pic while under construction.
    20161024_111325.jpg

I put the subs in separate enclosures @ about .6 cu. ft. each. If I had to do it over I would probably just do 1 sub in a ported box. I used sound deadener in the doors with Infinity speakers on a 400 watt 4-way amp. The head unit is a Kenwood DDX-9702s w/Sirius and bu camera.

I also installed a 4 ga. Kicker amp kit.

Thanks for the pic, I like how it fits in there. I need to just take the time and piece it together like that

@Dimestore55 - how much cubic space do you have there for both 10's? Seems like a pretty small box

I think they're just under .6 each. If I remember correctly the manufacturer recommends .4 to 1 cu ft.

So your box is 1.2 cubic feet (or larger since it looks ported) of total space for both subs? Visually it looks a lot smaller than that because I estimated my box to be around 1 cubic feet (I needed .5 per sub)

No, it's a sealed box. I mentioned earlier that I wish I had done a single 10" in a ported box instead, thats where you may have gotten confused.

Spec on this sub is .4 to 1.25 sealed and 1.25 to 1.75 ported.
