South Carolina BS thread under new MANAGEMENT and lives in SC

One of the biggest reasons I pulled my oldest out of Scouts was everything was money driven to them. Every week it was like remember to bring X number of dollars next week for this thing we never told you that you had to buy. I was a Scout. I love the idea of the Scouts, but it just wasn't the same experience that I had when I was a kid.

 

Yesterday was his first day at school with out his neck brace. We had to pick him up; he was vomiting in the nurses office. 100% fine with the neck brace on. No concussion symptoms at all. Front of his neck where muscles and ligaments were stretched are fine. Back of neck and mid- lower back that was hyper extended (backward) still hurt. Areas of his back have muscle that is literally rock hard, still has not released. Nothing broken, nothing torn per X-ray and MRI.

He wants to wrestle on the middle school team, starting in a couple weeks. Not gonna happen this year!

It has changed, somewhat. Patches, and EVERYTHING cost money.

 

Sorry to hear that man, its weird, but im sure they'll find the culprit. its always the last thing you look for!

 

we did cub scouts for a few seasons years ago. I was turned off by all the money, for everything. luckily for me, the kiddo was not too interested, so it was easy to bow out

 

He has a heavy head.

The neck brace acts to decompress the soft tissue. His movement is much better. There is still a kid assigned to carry his school pack from class to class.

Absolutely. Every unit is different. As a unit, we usually sell more than enough Popcorn (just a five week period) to cover ALL costs for the year- excepts summer camps and uniforms.

If our local unit did not work for us, we would not be in it.

 

Everything look ok as far as long term effects?
