I'd be interred in a kit as described until I can get my hands on a set of your tails (hopefully soon)! I tried simply replacing my bulbs with VLed's replacements and if lights are on I get a steady burn brake light including the 3rd brake. No hyper flash and functions correct if Headlights aren't on. Would your kit potentionally add resistors or just modification of the harness?
    Thanks!

Unless you can find a 921/T10 size switchback bulb(Amber and white)
I have yet to see one.
All switchback bulbs will be a 7443/T20 size(hence the modification)

Don’t know how to link to eBay but I put in T10 switchback and several choices come up.

Hmm... I must be super blind.
All I see are 7443's PLUS some T10's and they are labeling them switchback (they are 2 totally different bulbs)

Probably not the best quality and possibly too long but are T10 switchbacks - aliexpress

edit - these may not be T10s, closer investigation shows T20 plug.. stupid mislabeling

You know a lot more about them than I do! I’m going to hold off for now, I don’t want to buy crap that won’t work.

I've searched for some time and haven't seen any.
The reason being; the T10/921 size is mainly used for single color applications (dome lights, lisence plate light, etc) so a dual color switchback would be useless. Not to mention the bulb dimensions would be a little too small to cram both color LED's on it(and project light properly).
The T20/7443/3157 etc size is MUCH more common because
    1) it is larger(about double the size) so it can hold both color LED's
    2) this size is VERY common for turn signals, DRL's, etc so switchbacks bulbs are abundant

could you do a plug and play kit that would keep the standalone reverse light but but use both red lights as break lights?

i dont mind only half the red light is lit when you signal but only half when you break? seems dumb on toyotas part.
