I purchased some 1157 LED bulbs to replace the auxiliary turn signal bulbs in my Fab Fours front bumper. After installing them the driver side did not light up and passenger side worked fine, I switched the bulbs to opposite sides and the driver side still didn't light up. I was running short on time so I put the halogen bulbs back in and now neither side works. Any suggestions? I plan on cleaning the contacts when I have a day off from work.

did you try pulling out the bulb, rotating it 180 degrees and plugging it back in? LED's a polarity sensitive.

1157 bulbs only go in 1 way.

You are correct... I was thinking of a 3157 bulb.

Well if both leds bulbs work in the passenger side and the standard bulb 1157 works in the driver side, then is the wiring. The wires are reversed. I assume you had to splice into the stock harness and got the wires crossed.

They're 1157 bulbs and will only go one way. But even the halogen bulbs no longer work.

Both lights worked prior to putting in the LEDs. The wiring is what came with the bumper and has worked fine till today.

If both don't work, I have my doubts it's both connections. Do you have a DVOM or test light you an verify power right at the socket?

Yes I have a test light and multimeter, I just ran out of time before work to diagnose the problem. I'm hoping it's simply dirty or corroded contacts inside the sockets.

yea its gonna be easier for you to do the basic diagnosis than us.

I keep a can of spray contact cleaner handy at all times just hose the connectors down and try again? then multi meter everything until you figure out where the power loss ends.

Did you perhaps blow a fuse while you were changing bulbs and that is why the originals now don’t work?

I don't think so as the stock turn signals in the headlights still work. There is some corrosion in the sockets so I hope a good cleaning will take care of it.

I cleaned the sockets and contacts, the right one works fine now but the left one lights up very weak.
