05-06 had a head gasket issue. See if it's been replaced.

Make sure the frame has been replaced or that as a buyer you will be eligible for a frame replacement.

The only reason I wouldn't buy is the color. But for reasons unknown some people just eat up that speedway blue.

I like the Sport DCLB with the paint matched cap.

If all of the belts and whatnot have been replaced recently, I'd say go for it. In California, this would be a deal, especially if you can talk him down to 8k or so.

Seems low, but if everything looks good why not. Drive it, get your hands dirty checking things, have a mechanic look it over.

8K and rust free take it. It has another 100k miles and a matching canopy, even though the color is ugly

I would take it like the other posters if it is rust free. You can call Toyota and give them the vin# and they can tell you what recalls have been done to it. I think outside of bearings and belts you can get 350,000 miles plus on these motors. More than likely will qualify for a leaf replacement and some type of rust preventive if not a frame replacement.

Also you can expeCT a lot more than 300-350k if maintenance has been on schedule... I don't think I have seen one 4.0l failure that wasn't due to neglect or abuse... that's why you can't find any in junk yards that habent been wrecked

I recently bought a 2005 SR5 for $9.5k with 169k miles, and a brand new frame. I didn't have a maintenance history for it, so I did a few hundred bucks worth of maintenance and it's been running like a top since *knock on wood* I say go for it.

If it checks out, I’d take it. Have the head gaskets been replaced? If not, I’d make sure they aren’t currently blown.
