2010 dbl cab sport 4x4. Just like my 4 other Toyota products...worst seats ever. Guess I must be bonkers? Most everything else about the truck rocks, but seat comfort just plain sucks!

Does anyone have a solution for the uncomfortable seats?

For many, the seats are lacking. There has got to be a practical swap mod out there.

I would like to use my taco as a work truck, but sitting in it for the better part of a 12 hour day is too painful.

Because I need heat at my back for low back pain and cool at my arse because it sweats, I found a plug in pad on Amazon that does both and at the same time does improve slightly the SUCKY seats. I've now got a 2015 Tacoma Pro with factory leather seats and for me on a trip they just didn't cut it. These heat and cool seat pads make it bearable to about 3-4 hours where I've got to get out and take a break. I've found that even though the truck won't take any awards in my book for comfort, these pads make it bearable.

I hurt my back about 20 years ago, and now have to have a good seat. Looking for a seat upgrade for my Tacoma. My old Toyota pickup I put in 4 runner seats from an 95 model, and the bolt holes fit. It was a 91. Wish Honda seats would fit in a Tacoma, Honda seat backs have a curve that is very comfortable.

Only complaint here is the lack of height adjustments. My previous cars/trucks were 1971 Chevy camper special with bench seat. 1974 Mercury Cougar with split bench. 1993 Ford F-250 bench seats. 2002 Ford Mustang with bucket seats. The Mustang was the worst seat to date for me. Wish I could cram a Bostrom air seat in there. I have the wide version in my 99' Kenworth Aerocab, could sit in that baby all day.

Coming from German sport sedans and SUVs I miss the quality of the seats they had. My base '12 with non-sport seats, no lumbar, no height adjustment, etc. is terrible for anything longer than 1 - 1.5 hours.
Maybe a swap to a set of OEM sport seats with bolsters would be worth it, although mine in my AC all manual adjust and not sure how hard of a swap that would be.

lol don't worry, sport seats weren't much better. They're all manually adjusted so the swap should be simple, but the seats themselves aren't really great. I have to crank up the lumbar to really feel comfortable in mine, but that doesn't really solve the overall issue of seat, dash and steering wheel distances, which are just wrong for my body type.
