    For cleanup up assistance, CalOES will be having town meetings. If you are affected, I highly suggest you attend.
    Many homeowners policies cover debris removal. And much of the debris is also now considered hazmat and needs special equipment to remove it. (Its not hazmat material so much, but the shit it releases into the air when it’s moved. And most landfills aren’t equipped to receive the hazardous stuff, must be hauled to a special location. And those places are expensive to haul your own load to)

    Even if you don’t have insurance for debris removal, the state covers it. Just be patient. Ours is literally wrapping up this week (and the fire was in July). But it hasn’t cost us a thing, and we didn’t have to lift a finger.

    You can go to your property and sift for anything you might find. Home Depot has made the sifters available for free. (Hardware cloth and wood framing.)
