    Powder coating service

Hey guys, my shop has been really slow so I wanted to take the time to see if any local guys need some stuff coated.

I live in Fort Worth and work out in Cedar Hill, been working at this shop for 6 months and have a years experience powder coating. I will coat pretty much anything a reasonable size for a cheaper price than anything you'll find. (Ex- rims:200$, sliders:125$, rear bumper 150$, small parts will be anywhere from 25-75$)

I've done work for two other guys located in Fort Worth on here, anything I receive will be coated and return no later than 48hours

@magneticwhite88 did ATH bed strengtheners and corner tie-downs for me. They look good.

Edit: Just FYI, I don't know if it's common practice or not, but he left hook spots bare, which I painted.

Yes unfortunately there might be hook marks on some of the parts, my boss irritates me because he only takes mass orders so he is less concerned with quality and more worried about quantity. He very rarely keeps touch up paint in the shop but if it's there I will touch up the part where the hook makes contact. Typically I will hang the part in a small hole so it's not noticeable at all once mounted and touched up.

    Thanks for the feedback

Does anyone have a chronograph that they would want to bring to the range one day? I've been working up some rounds for both the 7mm rem mag and .270 win.

Using Hodgdon Hybrid 100V powder for both. The Hodgdon website lists charges higher than my Hornady manual states is the max for the 130gr. .270, and the Hornady manual doesn't list a 150gr. projectile for the 7mm (wtf?). Long story short, I'm starting to work rounds in the higher charge range and want to make sure that I'm not over-doing it.

The factory rounds that I'm zeroed in with are 3110 and 3060 fps respectively.

Hey all - I am getting ready to move from Oregon to the Fort Worth Area and I am hoping you can help answer a few questions.

    1. During the safety inspection/emissions testing, is there a visual inspection of the exhaust system? I have long tube headers which means I don't have the two manifold catalytic converters. I have the other two that are further down the exhaust and an 02 simulator that tells the computer the two missing cats are working correctly. I pass the Oregon Smog check every time as they only do the OBDII check and not a tailpipe test.

    2. are there any other things I need to know about registering a truck in Texas?

    Thanks!

    1. Rarely, most places only care about OBD results.

    2. Do it quick or it will get expensive. If you do it within 60 days you get a pass on taxes as long as it is previously registered in another state, otherwise they hit you for the full amount.

Hey Hoarder- what do you mean by the proof?
I have the title to my truck as well as current registration. Oregon does not have a sales tax so I am hoping that does not come into play.

    Anyone seen my wallet?
when you do the inspection, make sure they are aware the car will be relocating to texas, I belive there is an additonal fee and a "green card" you will need to take to the court/tax office.

It might cost you a lot then, worth giving a call to see what your tax liability might be
