i want to update the interior of my truck

i have a 2008 regular cab tacoma. i love the truck,i have had it since it was new,and i love everything about it,except the bench seat. what i want to do is take out the bench seats,replace it with bucket seats and add a center console. how difficult a prospect is this and are there any pointers? I also want to add a new/better sound system,but the seats are my first priority at this time.

Find some seats, find the console and bolt'em up. Harder to find than to install. Good luck, it'll be worth the search. My next reg cab interior mod will be adding the overhead console. Got the console and mounting bracket. Now just have to cut headliner, attach mounting bracket and run wiring. Simpler said than done, lol.

Wow, yeah, bench seat......I was wondering why you had all those deals on the top by the window then saw the seat belt thing for the center. Child seat anchor too? Mine is smooth accross the top and the only thing taking up space behind the seats is the mount for the jack....which is much smaller than that box for the center seat belt. The center console even has room between the back of it and the back wall of the cab. I don't think I'll be giving up room behind the seat for boom in mine either. I'd be doing IQ kick panels to add more speakers in the reg cab if I need more.

For that kinda cash I'd be doing Corbeau (spelling?) buckets, custom console, and a new stereo, with some cash left over. Of course, that's a big IF, the if being, IF I had the cash

 

Hell, you could put that much cash into a down payment for a truck that already has buckets, lol.

 

i have an 06 with buckets that i would trade for your bench seat if you pay the shipping (live in California). My seats are in very good condition, no stains or rips. I need a bench to get both of my kids in the truck after school. We could swap consoles too. i have a standard trans, with grey interior. I will send pics if you want.

Wasn't suggesting mixing of consoles. How often you see someone wanting a to trade their buckets for a bench? Trade seats and get whatever console you need from junkyard. It was simply info, use it or not. You make the call.
