spring over lift. 5.88 gears. limited slip front and back. new rear axles. new chromoly long field axles up front. 35x12.50 dick cepek tires. 5 speed tranny and t-case conversion. new seats. future plans are a roll cage and eventually an aluminum body
I am new to this forum, but not to Toyotas. my first truck was a 1985 short wheel base 4cyl 4x4 truck. rolled it then got a 93 model. I still have my 85. its about dead. no brakes, starter messed up, runs bad, smokes, and a couple of months ago a wind storm took off the front porch and threw it against my old truck. smashed the right quarter panel, dented the door, dented the roof and popped the windshield. I really think that is Gods way of saying enough is enough with this. lol. never gonna part with it. I may luck up and find another. spare parts are always needed. ANYWAY I'm writing to ask which year of Tacoma would you recommend to look at buying for buzzing around on the farm with. a lil truck is cheaper then a side x side. Ive heard the first v6 trucks weren't that great. but surely now the v6's are better.
    thank you

    Welcome to TW

There's many choices 95'-04' 1st gen Tacoma with 3.4L V6 is a great choice and smaller similar to what you are use to. 05'-15' 2nd gen Tacoma is bigger and better IMHO with the 4.0L V6 and last the 16'+ Tacoma with the 3.5L V6 is a good choice. It's up to what is in your budget and what you plan to do with the truck.

BTW the old 3.0 aka 3 point slow V6 is a crappy V6 that Toyota made

All the V6 from 95-now are good, and the 4cyl has always been great from the 22re to now. Comes down to budget and preference.
