Looks like i will need to sell the family Tacoma because our second son was just born and can't fit a car seat behind drivers seat. Stock '97 w/2.7L 4x4 manual w/380k miles. How should i go about selling this truck. Runs like a Tacoma, lots of little dents and scratches, interior is a mess, no radio, replaced everything but the block @ 250k miles. Replacing it with a 2006 Tacoma and using the cash from the sale to modify into family overland rig. Been in the family since Dad drove it off the lot.Not trying to sell on this forum just advice on how much should i ask. Will be asking lots about best mods for 2006 Tacoma for family overloading.

Not enough to have a build thread.
He's not necessarily posting it for sale here, just asking for advice. I don't think it'll be deleted.

To the OP. Participate around the forum for a few messages. I think you need 50 posts to be able to sell stuff. Then you can post it for sale on here. Pictures will help a lot. The other options are ebay and craigslist. Not sure what its worth. Location can affect value. Good luck with the sale!

Spend a couple of hours detailing the interior and install a $50 radio.

Then clean and detail the exterior.

That will make a vast difference in impression for the potential buyer.

Buy a cheapie radio, and scrub it inside and out.hit the smaller scratches with touch up paint. Where are you at op ? Kinda helps if we know your market.hit the inside with baby oil, just lightly.works better than Amor all.make sure no funky smells in cab.

This. I never understand why people don't do this with everything they sell - you're potentially making good hourly wages investing in it.

Even if you grab a junkyard special for 10 bucks, makes a huge difference.

Put a decent radio in it. Lol I got my Kenwood bluetooth HD radio for 99 bucks. As said before clean it up, pics and post. Documentation of maintenance will help.

Yea, pics and location will help give a better idea what it is worth. Rust states versus warm try states makes a huge difference in the value.
