About to pull the trigger

Hi all,
I've been looking for a Reg Cab 4x4 here in North Georgia since I moved in June and one finally popped up but need advice on if its worth the price tag. Anyhow, I will be getting a taco even if this isn't the one so I won't be going away anytime soon.

I'm coming from a jeep (sold back in june) and can't wait to get into something that isn't breaking every 2 weeks.

I am financing so thats why I'm excited about this one popping up. I just am kind of hesitant about spending $2k over KBB.

I agree with Scott and Rick’s posts above^.
I still to this day am very much a fan of single/regular cabs especially being 4wd’s but if i was the one looking to purchase that specific truck i’d attempt to knock down the price by like 2k or more.It’s a 4cyl.as well.

You can maybe knock that down some. They sure didn't pay blue book for it. Remember your interested, but not willing to drive it off the lot.

 

I can try to hold the crows feet on the hood and the dire need of a paint correction against them so I'll see how that goes. Thanks guys.

They insist that its worth way above blue book just because there aren't any other regular cab 4x4s within 500 miles The search continues....

 

Yep them!Walk away,keep your distance.Keep searching and if they truly want you in that truck it will happen with something more favorable towards you.Best of luck!

 

have you tried looking private party/craigslist?

after quick search these came up which could be better depending on what you are doing with it. Also private parties have more wiggle room from experience.

Last one actually isn't bad at all, although as much as I love stick I don't think it'd be a great idea with atlanta traffic. I wouldn't mind going private party but don't know how the loan would work as this is my first

 

ah gotcha. seems like we were in a similar situation. I would suggest downloading the app csmart (Craigslist app) and check it a couple times a day for reg cab tacos. It makes it easier and you can setup saved searched and you get notified when they are posted. Just gotta be there quick as the good deals sell in a couple days. Got my tacoma this summer after checking for 2 months ended up finding a 2011 auto 2 hrs away for 11k with just under 50,000 on odo and extended warranty. They had a loan on it and I did not want to just give them cash in hand as the bank had the title. They ended up just transferring their loan to a loan company close to me and I paid it off in full there. So that would probably work for you since you would just not pay if off right away.

 

Hell if I found one for $11k it would be paid off in a month I was looking back out west since January so I've saved up a fairly large down payment.
