How do you do it @skeezix? I didn't have any way to measure brake system pressure to do it the way the book said and with the lift bracket installed there was enough threads to get above rear lock. I assumed that was OK since I never did an end-around in the 16 winters I had the truck. Now that was a '91, so no ABS.

Off topic a bit... but my parking brake handle rotates around 360 degrees both directions?... is this normal? If not, what do I need to replace?
My parking brake comes out 22 clicks, from what I read it seems it should engage after 7-11 clicks. I plan on cleaning and adjusting the rear brakes once I buy wheel studs to replace the two I already broke and one that I will probably end up breaking.

I'm pretty sure the light stays off if the plug isn't connected. I disconnected mine because something was keeping the seatbelt light on - I don't need a light to remind me to buckle up, it's habit at this point.

I can confirm- mine was unplugged and the light was off. I plugged it back in and it works as expected.

I've got a '98 limited, the first pic is the wire connection for the stock amplifier for the premium sound.

...huh? I'm 110% sure that's for the seatbelt sensor. I don't think 1st gens came with premium sound.

It is for my seat belt sensor. I found the other end and plugged it in and sure enough the seat belt light came on (I wasn't buckled at the time).

it goes off when you buckle up when it's connected, otherwise it will be off.

read up as this may also complete the circuit for the airbag to deploy, otherwise if you get in an accident you might be screwed.

as others have stated, 2nd pic is some wiring by the previous owner, just trace where it goes. 3rd pic is the LSPV, it's already been described to increase braking to the rear when carrying a load. as to why it's designed this way I can only say when the bed is lower due to suspension sag (load) the valve gets opened. so it works, why change it :)

Agreed /\ I think the 1st picture has something to do with the air bag

My truck is a 2001 when I discounted that plug my air bag light turned off

Not sure about the airbag. I plugged it in the connector once I found it.
