I live in a tall pines area and I believe the junk from the trees have came through the cowl and plugged things up as the fan comes on, but doesn't blow heat or air. Is it much of a job to clean things out? Thanks for any info.

I have a posting about this titled "Why you shouldn't park under a tree". If you can evac and recharge your own AC it is pretty easy. Just R & R the evap case. It took me maybe 3 hrs.

You can pull the fan and reach up in there and clean it. Not as good as with pulling evap box though.
