I have always had older cars and have never dealt with TPMS systems. I just finally decided to to with new Michelin defenders on my 2015 to replace the cracking Dunlops. Found a great price at BJ's Wholesale Club and ordered them. The paperwork says that they put new rubber valve stems on but doesn't mention anything about the TPMS. So, am I correct in assuming that I will be driving around with a warning light on? That is not acceptable in my opinion and will cancel the order, if that is the case.

Take pics of the valve stems if all you got was new tires nothing needs to be done to the TPMS, they probably charge everybody for new valve stems even if you don't get new ones

Your fine, they will reuse your sensors. The 4 valves that are included with the tires will not be used.

They reuse your sensors, but likely will charge you $5-$7 per o-ring seal kit for those existing sensors. Another reason to dislike TPMS if you actually check your tire pressure a few times each month.

The jerks who mounted/balanced my tires didn't even ask if I wanted the TPMS swapped to the new tires. So after waiting 4 hours for them to do my tires they bring me the TPMS and say everything done. I yelled at them for not asking if I wanted those swapped over and they eventually said they would do it for free ... but I would have to wait for them to rebalance the tires because of the added weight. Eff that. I can deal with the little orange light on my dash.

I didn't swap the TPMS onto my TRD beadlocks & dealt with the orange lights for a while, then I got the shits of looking at it. So the other week while I was rotating my tires & changing the oil I decided to drop the spare, break the bead on it and dropped the TPMS into it. Aired it up, put it back in its home and no more light.
