    Hey all,

I am considering adding a trd exhaust. Is it worth the price? I am looking for a slight power gain. Also where is the best place to order one?

Definitely not worth the money if you're looking for a performance upgrade. My truvk came stock with it so I didn't get a before and after drive, but not much is gonna help this 3.5 short of boost or at least a good tune. It does sound good though.

The only way you are going to see true gains on this truck is by either going the dual exhaust route withe the right setup, or by just gutting the whole exhaust from the headers back and opening it up a bit with 3 inch tubing and a cat and muffler(s) that are not very restrictive.

Any factory exhaust setup (which includes the trd pro exhuast) is going to be super restrictive and wont get you any meaningful gains in the power department.

I have the TRD exhaust, I like the looks and the sound. They claim it adds power but it's probably a negligible amount. But that chrome TRD tip must add at least 25hp right...

It sounds very nice. Not sure about any power gains, but it is a joy to hear while driving.

The MBRP I picked up is literally just a 3 inch tube straight back with a very nonrestrictive muffler and its only like 200 bones. Don't expect it to sound like a V8. lol

I would imagine this V6 with a very nonrestrictive exhaust would not sounds good at all. probably very raspy. just a guess though

Its a bit raspy for sure. Honestly I feel like I'm just driving a riced out is350 some days, but it sounds pretty cool under load. Definitely not all negative. I've noticed that it helps me control how much throttle I use, gives me a slight increase in perceived power, and makes me more aware of gear changes. For those reasons I'm keeping it on.

Literally bought the setup for he sound...URD ypipe with TRD exhaust. IMO it sound great driving....didn't like the sound of the full URD spec u exhaust.

Sounds like a truck vs a sedan/hatchback for other setups

i also love it for the sound, and i got a TRD intake as well for more sound... i'm a MT driver and need a good bit of sound to guide my shifting.

I put the exhaust on first for a week and then the TRD Intake. I was very pleased with the difference the Intake made over exhaust alone. Very nice sound.

Was the install for the exhaust really straight forward ? Just unbolt the old and bolt up the new?
