I saw a RAS-47 blow up. Just sayin. Was about 3 years ago, shortly after they had gone into production.

BUT!!!!! CAI did change the QC and some parts that were cast instead of forged in the early model. Far as I know now, they're all forged parts again like the WASRs.

Need to get a fresh pic of my Magpul fitted WASR 10 up here again for you guys.

What are the weak points on the cast models? I've looked at the Century Arms stuff, but their rep guy "Jacob" does not ensure confidence in the product. He is the most uncomfortable person I've ever seen on camera. Watch his Ricky Bobby hands here:

    https://youtu.be/yazx214_PJU?t=1m23s

Plus, these two characters seem like they're straight from a Kentucky Fried Movie scene, portrayed by Billy-Bob Thornton (Yeager), and Jason Sudeikis (Jacob).

Yeager quote on the gun: "This f*ckin rail sucks balls."

    Yeager, unsub

It's the trunion that caused most problems, the hammer was too soft as well, gas system as well. They were wearing out prematurely, simply. If you have an early made RAS, just keep an eye on things.
Guy I knew that had his blow up, was sub 1k rds, wasn't rapid-firing either. Split the barrel and gas tube and handguard. Luckily, pressure went up and not into his hand or body.

I bought their RH-10 about a year ago and shot ~150 rounds/month through it and haven't noticed any deformation or any major problems. I give it a minute or two between magazines and don't shoot like John Rambo but still relatively accurate for such a large round. Overall, I'm a fan of it and glad I spent the extra cash rather than the entry model.

Reposting this here, where it belongs. I have a thing for triangle folders:

I really recommend the krebs safety with the tab for deactivating with your firing hand index finger (I prefer the one without the hold open cut out).

Their FH is also smaller and more refined looking than the manticore ones IMO.

That's one nice thing about being a long gun lefty. I sweep the safety with the thumb of my support hand (I grip the magazine). Same with my PSL. You learn really quick to keep your thumb from flagging shooting a PSL like that...

I have that hand guard on my AK74 VEPR. I like it, but it gets hot pretty fast. Gloves are must. How do you feel about yours? I've been debating removing mine and putting the Magpul Zhukov back on. Just dig how it looks. Kinda heavy too.

Can't decide if I want to take this hand guard off and put the Magpul Zhukov back on. It looks bad ass, but it gets really hot.

ARB Bumper, SOS sliders, rear bumper, and skid plate. OME Lift. Some other stuff.
Correct, but the ruling only applies solely to pistol arm braces which have been submitted to the ATF FTB branch and have received approval. SB Tactical is the only maker to have received this approval. If you have a non-SB Tactical pistol brace, this ruling does not apply to your brace.

    This is what I'm tracking.

Arsenal, Definitive Arms, Century Arms (new ones). Depends on your budget.
